Improving Eye Health With Ayurveda

The eyes are one of the most vital sense organs we have, and taking care of them is just as important as caring for any body parts. There are an array of ways to boost eyesight and have clear vision. It is a challenging task to take care of the eyes in the corporate world, spending long hours in front of the screens can cause severe strain on the eyes. There are healthy ways of Improving Eye Health With Ayurveda. If you are searching for better ayurveda practices, Ayurheritage offers effective ayurvedic treatment in Dubai.

Poor eyesight causes

Improper nutrition

People often forget to pay attention to the adequate nutrition that is needed by our bodies in order to function properly. We can't deny the fact that we live in a fast-paced life where there is no time for appropriate care, and this can affect our bodies in the long run. Fast foods can be readily available, but they can bring many unhealthy issues, and poor eyesight is one of them. Taking good care of your eyes should be prioritized if you wish to enjoy watching more beautiful sights. Balanced nutrition for healthy eyes includes protein content food, vitamins E, C, B, and A.

Unprotected from exposure to blue light

Do your eyes get tired from watching too much screen? Especially for working professionals, who work prolonged hours with constant exposure to screen light which can bring irritation to the eyes. It can adversely affect the health of the eyes. The damage to the eyes can be slowed down with the use of protected eye care glasses. There are certain ayurvedic eye drops that can be helpful for the ones who are often exposed to blue screens. It is advisable to take time in looking away after every 20 minutes of viewing the screen and it is recommended to look for green color because it naturally soothes the eyes. For your eye concerns, you can contact our ayurvedic hospital Dubai.

Infections and allergies

You can easily invite infections and allergies through dust particles and other pollutants that are present in the surrounding. So whenever you step out to windy and dusty areas, make sure to wear protective glasses and wash your eyes thereafter. Additionally, you can wear a helmet with glass visors while riding two-wheelers. Everywhere is filled with dust particles so avoid touching your eyes often. Hands can easily transport infectious germs to the eyes.

This can be a great factor in reducing your eyesight. As humans grow old, their bodies lack eye strength and worsen eyesight. As aging is inevitable, a healthy diet and regular exercise can reduce the bad effects on eyesight. It can also aid in the slow process of natural damage. There are an array of diseases that can affect the eyes while getting old. Some of the issues are Presbyopia, Cataracts, Glaucoma, Temporal arteritis, etc.

Ayurvedic ways to improve eyesight

This is a traditional method that has been used for a very long time to maintain healthy eyes. You can make Triphala tea using 1 tsp of powder in 200 ml of water. Filter it using cotton pads once it is cold. You can use this cold solution in an eye bath cup for 5 minutes. You might slightly feel a burning sensation initially, but not for a long time. It will clear out the eyes making them cool and comfortable. It is really effective for dry and red eyes.

Head massage

A slight massage on the head can bring a cathartic effect to the eyes. The muscles are relaxed for keeping visual acuity and boosting tear glands. You can also use coconut oil or any other medicated oil to achieve desired effects.

Palming on the eye

Rub the palms of your hands together for like 10-20 seconds and cup your hands on the eyes which can warm the eyes from the strain. Do it repeatedly for some time until you feel relaxed, especially while working with constant observation on screens.

Did you know that yoga can play a vital role in improving eyesight? Some of the asanas that can be beneficial for eye health are Chakrasana, Halasana, Shirshasana, etc.

Trataka Meditation

Meditation has an array of benefits in maintaining good vision. An ayurvedic way of treating this is by gazing meditation which is called Trataka. It is practiced by intently gazing at a point until the tears are shed. This method can bring an invigorating effect on the mind and boosts concentration. This is one of the shat kriyas or six cleansing methods that is defined in Hatha yoga which can aid in healing and cleansing of the eyes.
